re: ENTITLED

I was somewhat surprised to see the word "entitled" used. I think no one is "entitled" to a pay raise each year...called worker, employee, elected official.
She is entitled to respect though.
I need to think this one through more.
Interesting question....

Entitled to an increase??? This teacher may feel entitled but don't hold your breath. My father is a retired WELS pastor with 33 years and he hasn't received an increase in his monthly benefit in over four years - and then it was only $12 a month. He gave up so-called entitled raises just to keep his church afloat. Entitled--- c'mon you knew what you were getting into when you started on the path to WELS called workerdom. Entitled-- good luck to you honey. And by the way, don't ever retire. My father gets a whopping $280 a month after all those years. Is he entitiled to more...of course. Just try to get someone on the retirement board to understand though. My advice to you is you better start saving your pennies now because once you do retire, that's what they'll tell you. You should have been saving on what I'm sure is a mere pitance of what you're really entitled to. I've even encouraged our own WELS Committee on Relief to take a up special offering to help relieve our poor retired pastors but didn't even get a response. So yeah... you're entitled alright.

Are there entitlements for WELS called workers?

I know a called worker who insists that she is entitled to a pay increase every year.
